PV ARRAY VOC AND HYBRID INVERTER MAXIMUM VOC INPUT
| Answer pending
Dear Soar Hub.
My array produces between 380voc to 477 voc. Good days/bad days.
My growatt spf 500es is capable of a maximum input voc of 450v
My inverter will shut down when it goes over 455v.
Can I put between the pv array which is in series and the inverterĀ a device that will not allow the voltage go above 450v to the inverter?
This would do two things if I could. Safety for the inverter and still be able to use the power from the array to the max as in 450v.
I have removed one panel 50v voc to adjust to the inverter already but I feel this is a waste of 20 to 30 volts.
Does such a device exist? I guess one would call it a DC REGULATOR or something like that .
Any advice would be warmly accepted.
Thank you
Colin Lesley
